about

YES, this was a WDST Radio Woodstock Tinker Street Cafe Session from Woodstock, NY in 1996 on a leap year night. We joked they obly let us play cuz it was a day that didn't really exist. The famous venue hosted lots of bands over the years from Dylan and Hendrix to The Defiant Ones/Bad Brains and Three, Shabutie (early Coheed) to lesser known bands in our 90's scene like Peacebomb, John The Baker with Slimy Penis Breath (which featured a young Jason Christopher of Prong/Corey Taylor affiliation), Moon Boot Lover, Go Van Go, Spin Cycle Lava and Perfect Thyroid...a proud, anarchic, colorful and under documented time in Woodstock music history.

I didn't know the words to the Melvins cover we picked so I just made stuff up.

Good times. We released this on cassette in 2 forms. first version was called Vicious Lies and had a hand drawn art and collage cover and insert. But it mainly was circulated as a tape called ANIMATED: Live at Tinker St Cafe and that is the version I have recreated here.

R.I.P. Pat and hope you enjoy our young punk rock/mutant anthems. The cover is a photo of a weird dog I shot in B & W on the patio of the venue.
